The Unifour Brass Ensemble first organized in 1978 as a brass quartet. Since then,  the UBE and its members have been providing music for area church services, dedications, weddings and receptions, theater productions, club functions, and civic functions. The ensemble's repertoire ranges from the medieval to modern eras. Through the years, its members have performed with many of North Carolina's symphonies as well as other orchestras across the nation, various theater pit orchestras across the state, many backup orchestras for names such as movie soundtrack and jazz great Jon Faddis, Bob Hope, Roy Clark, The Temptations, The Four Tops, jazz giants Clark Terry, Herb Ellis, local touring rock bands, and many big bands across the state including the prestigious Unifour Jazz Ensemble, and such nationally known groups as the Guy Lombardo, Jimmy Dorsey, Les Elgart, Art Pepper, and Charlie Spivak orchestras. In addition, several members have conducted music for theater productions, public and private school music, community brass ensembles, community jazz ensembles, and community bands. Several past members have gone on to professional performing/teaching careers at several North Carolina universities and colleges.

The Unifour Brass Ensemble Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing the public, most notably our young people, with a basic appreciation for music through the wonderful sound of brass instruments. With art in our culture being somewhat diminished today, we feel that we can make a difference and help to keep the art of music and ensemble playing alive.

Currently, we are soliciting donations for our scholarship foundation and quintet endowment.  The scholarship foundation provides assistance to young people in our area to further their music education.  The endowment will provide us the ability to perform "in-school" music lecture/performance programs at no charge to school systems.  For giving information, contact us.  All contributions are tax deductible. how to buy stocks in amazon
